We configure the McLaren Artura of our dreams; it’s very Purple

Most of us can’t afford a supercar. Thankfully, there are online configurators that at least enable our dreams to materials, albeit virtually. We spent the Saturday morning creating our dream spec for the McLaren Artura. Here’s what it looks like.

To be honest, the Artura looks a bit too undramatic to us. A bit meh, compared to a similar plug-in hybrid supercar – the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. So, we thought, it would be a good idea to spice it up with a striking color combination. Hence, we chose the Vision trim level and MSO Lantana Purple as our primary exterior color.

For the wheels, we went for the Dark Stealth diamond-cut look. These goes well with the silver exhausts. The brake calipers are finished in Flux Green (a color that’s normally associated with hybrids). And, finally, the MSO Carbon Fibre package adds to the contrast.

Coming to the interior – our Artura has  Dove Grey Clubsport seats with Jet Black highlights and Flux Green accents to tie it with the exterior theme.

As you know, the Artura is powered by a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine that churns out 577 hp and 431 lb-ft of torque. It is coupled with an electric motor that adds 97 hp and 166 lb-ft for a combined output of 671 hp and 593 lb-ft. The electric motor is powered by a 7.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a maximum range of 19 miles in pure electric mode. The car comes with a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

What do you think of our spec? Let’s us know in the comments.
