Production-spec Bugatti Bolide revealed; enters next phase of testing

The Bugatti Bolide was first showcased as a concept in 2020. Eventually, the carmaker announced that it would build 40 units of what could only be described as the most hardcore, track-focused Bugatti ever envisioned.

Now, for the first time, Bugatti has revealed the production-spec Bolide as it enters the next phase of development testing.

The Bugatti Bolide is one of the most extreme track toys you can buy. It’s right up there with the likes of the Pagani Huayra R, Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro and the McLaren Solus GT.

If you look at the numbers, you will realize that the Bolide is actually in a league of its own. It is based on an all-carbon monocoque with a dry weight of 1450 kg. At its heart is Bugatti’s legendary quad-turbo W16 motor. It has been tuned further, so it revs higher and delivers 1600 hp.

That being said, it’s a shame that Bugatti didn’t go with the same monster engine that put in the concept. That motor was estimated to produce 1850 hp and 1364 lb-ft of torque. Still, it has an insane power-to-weight ratio.

The first deliveries of the Bolide are scheduled for 2024. Each one of these extreme track hypercars has a price tag of $4 million.
