Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 driver George Russell has taken delivery of his “dream car” – a Mercedes-AMG One. The British ace racer isn’t the first driver associated with the team to own one of these hypercars. Former F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton’s former teammate Valtteri Bottas also own one.
Russell’s AMG One has a deep blue exterior with chrome accents and no. 63, his race number, on the sides. The interior is wrapped in black leather and Alcantara. It has blue stitching and no. 63 embroidered into the headrests.
The AMG One was designed as a Formula 1 car for the street. It is powered by the same 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine which Lewis Hamilton had in his F1 car back in 2015. The IC engine is paired with two electric motors for a combined output of 1063 hp. Mercedes claims the AMG One will do 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and 0-124 mph in 7 seconds.
