The 2025 RM Sotheby’s Paris auction had several great cars up for sale. Unfortunately, the response was a bit lukewarm for some of the lots, including the Bugatti Centodieci. Perhaps buyers were warming up for the final lot of the evening – a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM.

This gorgeous 250 LM had been in the custody of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum for 54 years and was being offered for sale for the first time. It was the overall winner of the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans, piloted by noted racing drivers Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt. It is also the only privateer-entered Ferrari to have won Le Mans. Ferrari built 32 examples of the 250 LM. This is number 6.

Over the years, the museum has taken good care of this fine example. It’s an original example and retains its matching numbers engine and gearbox. It comes with a full history with paperwork right from the time of purchase to parts and service history.
