2 Min Read

Maranello has officially revealed its all-new track-focused supercar – the SF90 XX Stradale and its open-top version, the SF90 XX Spider. These are the first street-legal Ferraris to sport the ‘XX’ monicker.

The SF90 XX Stradale and Spider get a more aggressive body kit on the outside. It includes a redesigned front end with a splitter, vents on the bonnet and louvres on the fenders. At the rear, the car gets a reworked tail lamp setup, a new diffuser and a large fixed spoiler.

Powering the SF90 XX is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors. While the standard SF90 packs 986 hp, the powertrain has now been tuned to 1016 hp.

The internal combustion engine makes 786 hp thanks to new pistons, a machined combustion chamber and polished inlet and exhaust ducts. The electric motors have also been upgraded to 229 hp.

The powertrain is hooked up with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, which now gets revised software. It enables the car to hit 0-62 mph in 2.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 199 mph. The SF90 XX also gets a new Qualifying mode that adds more power when exiting a corner to reduce lap times.

As we had reported earlier, Ferrari has upgraded the braking system as well. The SF90 XX gets larger brake discs, redesigned calipers and improved cooling.
