The entry-level Ferrari has just received a major update. The Portofino M (Modificata) gets a more powerful engine and a host of other upgrades.

Let’s start with the engine. The 3.9-liter, twin-turbo V8 now makes 612 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. That’s a similar horsepower figure as the Ferrari Roma. An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission replaces the old 7-speed automatic gearbox. It uses a 20% smaller clutch and has a 35% higher torque delivery. The convertible does 0-62 mph in 3.45 seconds.

The Portofino M also gets a few cosmetic updates which includes a new front bumper. On the inside, it gets a Manettino switch with five modes, which includes a new Race mode. Besides this, features such as ventilated and heated seats and advanced driver assistance systems are offered as options.
