The Aston Martin DB12 made its debut in May this year. It replaces the DB11 in the brand’s line-up. Now, the British automaker is gearing up to showcase its convertible version – the DB12 Volante. Sources tell us that it could be unveiled at Pebble Beach during the Monterey Car Week on August 11, 2023.
The DB12 Volante is expected to feature a similar design as the coupe. It will get a larger grille, redesigned bumper and reprofiled LED headlamps. Of course, the fixed roof will be replaced with a folding soft-top.

The DB12 Volante will use the new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that debuted on the coupe. This new powerplant produces 671 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. That’s 34% more than the DB11. This has been achieved with new camshafts, larger turbos and a reworked cooling system.
The convertible DB12 will be equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive setup. Now, Aston claims a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph for the coupe. Expect the Volante to be a tad slower to 60 mph.
