Audi is working on a more extreme version of its flagship station wagon, the RS6. Rumors suggest that the new variant could be called the RS6 GT.

Looking at the spy images, it seems, the Audi RS6 GT will get a major aero upgrade. The test mule has a reworked front bumper, wider front fenders with vents, a redesigned rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and twin oval exhausts. One of the biggest upgrades though is the roof spoiler. The wheels on the prototype also look massive with those ultra-low-profile tires.

Technical details of the RS6 GT are still scarce, but we can expect a boosted twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 powertrain. In the RS6 Performance, this engine puts out 621 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. Besides a boost in performance, the RS6 GT is likely to get a few chassis tweaks as well.

Now, we are waiting for more inputs on the RS6 GT from our sources. So, watch this space.
