The 2024 Maserati GranTurismo made its debut in the US market in February this year. Now, the Italian carmaker is gearing up to roll out a convertible version, the GranCabrio. In fact, images of the production version have already leaked online.

While you may have already seen spy images of the Maserati GranCabrio, this is the first time that we’ve seen it in production form. These images are said to have been taken somewhere in Bologna and could be from an official press kit.

The GranCabrio will be mechanically identical to the GranTurismo. It gets a folding soft top and is likely to weigh slightly more than the coupe. The styling is similar as well with a low-slung oval grille with a large Maserati Trident in the centre, sleek wraparound taillights and flared wheel arches.

The GranCabrio will be powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine as the GranTurismo. It develops 490 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque in the ‘Modena’ trim, while the Trofeo version packs 550 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. The car featured in these images is the latter.
