World’s first V8-swapped 2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 W206
The Mercedes-AMG C63 has to be one of the biggest disappointments of 2022. It was the year when Mercedes killed the V8 C63 and gave us the W206 with a 4-cylinder hybrid under the hood.
The enthusiast community was shocked at this move, and the response from the market was lukewarm at best. Mercedes explained that it was the higher taxes on larger engines that prompted this move and reiterated that it had no plans to offer the V8 engine on the C-Class and E-Class models.
The guys at VUK Automobile were just as disappointed as we were. However, they had the skills and resources to make the V8 C63 AMG a reality. What you see here is the world’s first V8-swapped Mercedes-AMG C63 W206. It is the result of 2 years of sweat, tears, and elbow grease.
VUK recently shared a couple of videos of the build on their social media, including the first start-up. No doubt it’s a tight fit, but my God, it sounds good!
From the outside, it looks just like a normal C63 S, with its muscular design, flared wheel arches, big wheels, and quad exhausts. Pop open the hood, and you will find a big fat V8!
VUK hasn’t shared the exact specifications of the engine, though. We’re hoping to get an update on that soon.
