World’s first twin-turbo Lamborghini Huracan STO by Underground Racing
The Lamborghini Huracan, much like its predecessor, has proven to be a great platform for tuners like Underground Racing. These guys specialize in spicing up Lambos with their twin-turbo kits. They’ve now built the world’s first twin-turbo Huracan STO.
Huracan STO Stage 3+ twin-turbo system:
Underground Racing’s Stage 3+ kit for the car comes with billet wheel Precision turbochargers, M1 MoTeC standalone engine management system, in-house clutch setup with a billet clutch cage assembly and a billet 1st through 7th transmission gear set upgrade to handle the extra power. Speaking of power, the 5.2-liter V10 engine now puts out 1400 hp at the wheels on E85. That’s more than double that of what you get in the standard car, which has 640 hp and 417 lb-ft.
The fact that the STO is rear-wheel-drive poses a big challenge to put down all that extra power to the tarmac. Therefore, Underground Racing has added a JRR M1 MoTeC controlled all-wheel drive drivetrain. It enables the driver to switch between 2WD and 4WD with the touch of a button.
The STO is claimed to generate 53% more downforce and has 37% less drag compared to the Performante. It’s also 43 kg lighter in stock form. We can’t wait to see the twin-turbo Huracan STO on the track!
Meanwhile, the good folks at Underground Racing are now developing a twin-turbo kit for the Aventador SVJ.
