Ferrari 488 Pista-Nurburgring

Watch the Ferrari 488 Pista Attack the Nurburgring

The Ferrari 488 Pista is the fastest, most extreme version of the 488. As the name suggests, it is designed for the race track. So, what better way to test out its capabilities than on the Nurburgring.

A 488 Pista was recently spotted at the Nordschleife during the industry pool. While it is unclear why the Pista was out on the track, Ferrari could be testing out some components. The video shows the car being thrashed around track raising speculations that Ferrari could be gunning for a lap record. However, it seems unlikely since it was out on the track with other prototypes.

The 488 Pista is powered by a 3.9-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 710 hp @ 8000 rpm and peak torque of 568 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
