Vitesse-AuDessus Offers Carbon Fiber Exterior Conversion kits for Supercars
Carbon fiber was originally developed for the aerospace industry. Now though, it is commonly used in high-end supercars essentially to save weight without compromising safety and rigidity. It is also extremely difficult to manufacture which makes it quite expensive.
However, if you are looking for exclusivity this is what you want. Vitesse-AuDessus (or “Superior Speed” in French) is a US-based company that specializes in bespoke carbon fiber parts and they will build a complete carbon fiber kit for your supercar.
A rare supercar like a Koenigsegg or Ferrari Enzo uses a lot of carbon fiber in its construction. Even the exterior panels are put together in carbon. These cars are valued in the millions and the last thing you need is a damaged panel.
Folks at Vitesse-AuDessus have the technology and know-how required to build carbon fiber panels to OEM specifications to replace the original parts on your supercar. Thus, you save the original panels from any damage or wear.
Secondly, a complete carbon fiber supercar is not what you see everyday. Some of the very first full carbon fiber bodied supercars for sale include a Koenigsegg CCX, LaFerrari, Mclaren P1 and rare Ferrari 599 La Aperta. The company also build carbon fiber exterior kits for Ferrari 458, Porsche 918 Spyder, Lamborghini Aventador and even Bugatti Veyron.
“Our clients have already selected the very best in their lives,” says Vitesse | AuDessus CEO Stefany Sanchez. “Everything they own is a reflection of their unique taste: from their home, yacht or jet all the way down to their cufflinks. So why should they accept a supercar or exotic vehicle that is no different than the one in their neighbour’s garage? Thus, we had a challenge: how do we make something that is already incredibly rare, sexy and exciting even rarer, sexier and even more exciting? The answer? We adorn every inch of it in handcrafted carbon fibre.”
