VIDEO: Romain Grosjean crashes a Honda Civic at Laguna Seca

Former F1 ace Romain Grosjean has crashed a Honda Civic pace car at Laguna Seca. He was filming for Indy Car when he hit the tire barrier at pit entry.
A new video has emerged which shows the F1 ace hopping into the driver’s seat of the Civic. He was accompanied by Ed Jones. Both occupants escaped unhurt.
It is said that a brake issue caused the crash. The video shows the Civic entering the pitlane and fails to slow down for the left hander at entry. Instead the car ploughs straight into the tire barrier.
An image shared by Jenna Fryer on Twitter reveals the extent of the damage, which seems to be primarily cosmetic. That said, there’s no denying the fact that this pace car will be out of action for some time.
