VIDEO: Our Clearest Look Yet at the 992 Porsche 911
The 2018 Paris Motor Show starts on October 4 and that’s when the official reveal of the next-gen Porsche 911 will happen. However, this clip captured by an Instagrammer doesn’t leave much to guess, not only about the 992’s exterior but also the interior.
Prototypes of the 992-gen Porsche 911 have been running around the world for quite some time now. With the date of reveal getting closer, Porsche hasn’t bothered to put on camouflage on the prototypes. This was one such example spotted at a Californian gas station. Changes on the exterior of the 992 can be clearly made out from this prototype finished in Guards Red with RS Spyder wheels. In terms of the overall shape, the car seems much wider. There’s of course new tail lights that run the entire length of the rear.
Coming to the interior, the clip fully exposes the 992’s dashboard where you can see the revised center-mounted analog tachometer and a pair of screens. A larger infotainment screen now sits in the upper part of the center dash just like on the new Panamera whereas the smaller screen sits at the center of the gauge cluster. What’s more, a peek at the larger screen reveals that the 992 will get a Wet driving mode.
