VIDEO: Monster Truck lands first ever front flip

Landing a front flip in a 6 tonne monster truck requires more than just skill.

History was made on March 27, 2017 as VP Racing Fuels Mad Scientist driver Lee O’Donnell became the first person in the history of the sport to land a front flip during the Monster Jam World Finals XVIII in Las Vegas.

O’Donnell has having a clean run and with just seconds to spare, he got his truck to do a wheelie and with the front wheels hanging in the air, he slammed the accelerator. He approached a ramp while maintaining the wheelie and as the rear wheels hit the ramp, the truck caught air and flipped. More importantly, O’Donnell landed the front flip perfectly as the crowd saw in awe.
