VIDEO: Mercedes-AMG One hypercar takes on the Nurburgring
The Mercedes-AMG One arrived at the Nurburgring earlier this month. The engineering team went straight to work and let the hypercar loose on the Nordschleife. You may have seen spy images of the car already. Now, here’s a video to tickle your senses.
The Mercedes-AMG One is essentially an F1 car for the street. Peel away the bodywork and you will find the same engine that powers Lewis Hamilton’s championship-winning F1 car. It’s a 1.6-liter, V6 turbo hybrid that is said to produce no less than 1200 hp. It sounds pretty juicy too.
We believe the Nurburgring will be the final stop before production begins later this year. Sources have told us that Mercedes had been working on lowering NVH over the past few months. Once the final calibration is done, we could even see the car attempt a Nurburgring lap record.
As far as we know, the AMG One project is on schedule and the deliveries are expected to begin later this year.
