VIDEO: Cops in hot pursuit of a Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 in California

Last week, a suspect driving a Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 was apprehended by the California Highway Patrol after a long chase. The pursuit was captured by a news chopper.

According to reports, the suspect was driving erratically and also ran through multiple red lights. The cameras captured the driver maneuvering the 6-wheel drive truck through surface streets before entering a Taco Bell parking lot.

The pursuit, which began in the Malibu area, eventually ended when the truck crashed into a light pole on Vanowen Street and Coldwater Canyon Avenue in North Hollywood.

The VelociRaptor 6×6 is based on the 2017 Ford F150 Raptor. It is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine that puts out 602 hp and 622 lb-ft of torque. Despite its bulk, this behemoth is claimed to hit 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds.
