Utah collector takes delivery of America’s first Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider
The first Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider has landed in the United States. It has been delivered to a Utah-based collector, who goes by the name @supercar_ron. This particular car was actually commissioned by another famous supercar collector – Manny Khoshbin.
Earlier this week, the owner got a chance to drive the Valkyrie Spider at the Monticello Motor Club in New York. Here’s what he had to say about the experience:
“I’m sincerely amazed that the Valkyrie is street legal. It doesn’t feel like it should be. It feels full blown race car, like I need a full time team just to keep it going. And yet, in the softest suspension setting it rides just as nice as any other car. Compliant, easy to drive, nothing cray.
It feels like full blown witchcraft. Magic. Like Luke used The Force to manipulate the car into something entirely different than the F1 car that it is.“
The spec is on point too. The hypercar has a black exterior with yellow accents and silver centre lock wheels, while the interior is trimmed in black Alcantara with yellow stitching.
The Valkyrie Spider uses the same Cosworth-built 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 mated to a Rimac-sourced KERS hybrid system. Its combined output is 1176 hp, channelled to the rear wheels via a 7-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission.
