Upcoming BMW M2 CS to have 450 HP and 95,000 Euro Price Tag
The inbound BMW M2 CS will have 450 hp. That’s one of the juicy details trickled out of the BMW Belgium private event held recently.
Everyone is looking forward to the launch of the new BMW M2 CS and a private event organized by BMW Belgium answered some of the questions which were giving the enthusiasts sleepless nights. The contents below are based on the Bimmerpost forum discussion pertaining to the topic.
The 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show will serve as the platform for the new M2 CS to make its debut and production will begin by March 2020. We can expect to see the car in one of the four shades at the public premiere – Alpine White, Misano Blue, Hockenheim Silver, and Sapphire Black. The engine will churn out 450 hp of power and will come mated to a manual transmission as standard. A dual-clutch gearbox will be in the optional features list.
They are adding a whole lot of M Performance and M4 Competition parts to the coupe. Red caliper M Performance Brakes are standard. Nevertheless, you can always shell out some more and pick those optional carbon-ceramic brakes which offer more bite. 19-inch 763M Style wheels in either gold or black come wrapped in Michelin Cup 2 tires. Adaptive suspension and the M Performance exhaust are the other good stuff to look forward to.
BMW has been generous with carbon-fiber too as the new M2 CS will have its hood, roof, outside mirrors, trunk lip, front spoiler lip, rear diffuser, central consoles, and door handles made of the lightweight material.
Interior upgrades include Alcantara trim on the M4 Competition seats (with red stitching), door panels, center console, and the dashboard. Should you desire, the material can be wrapped around the steering wheel too. You won’t be able to fold the back seats down, by the way.
The new BMW M2 CS will be in production for 9 months starting March 2020 with a global count limited to 2200 units. Belgium prices will start at 95,000 euros. United States prices may be in the vicinity of $80,000.
