Ultra-rare Pagani Imola Roadster caught on video in Italy

The Pagani Imola Roadster made its global debut last week. Only eight cars are being built, and now, one of the first Imola Roadsters has just been spotted outside the Pagani factory.

The Imola Roadster looks wild and purpose-built for the racetrack. It features larger intakes and ducts at the rear that are said to improve cooling. Openings on the wheel arches help reduce pressure under the front end, while an air scoop helps the twin-turbo V12 breathe. For the first time, the air scoop and the supports for the rear wing have been integrated with the hood. According to Pagani, the Imola Roadster generates 600 kg of downforce at 173.98 mph.

Powering the Imola Roadster is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 that delivers 850 hp @ 5600 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 3600-5600 rpm. It drives the rear axle via an Xtrac 7-speed sequential gearbox. Top speed is rated at 217.48 mph.
