Tuthill GT One: A road-legal Porsche 911 GT1 reimagined
Remember the 993 Porsche 911 GT1 that was spotted at the Los Angeles airport a few days back? Well, here it is in all its glory.
This is the Tuthill GT One – a reimagined Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion. Only 22 examples of what could be described as the ultimate version of the road-going 911 GT1, will be produced.
Designed by Florian Flatau, the GT One features a full carbon fibre body that includes massive front and rear clamshells, a carbon roof with an integrated air intake, and carbon doors. It has an overall weight of just 1200 kg.
Powering the Tuthill GT One is a 4.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine; available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions. The NA version produces more than 500 hp, while the forced-induction version pumps over 600 hp. The car featured here is equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, however, customers can also spec a manual gearbox.
The car rides on twin wishbone front and rear suspension and is equipped with carbon ceramic brakes paired with bespoke brake calipers and an Inconel exhaust system. The retro-style wheels come shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires.
