Track-focused Rimac Nevera R unveiled; Does 0-186 mph in 8.66 sec!

Mate Rimac has pulled the covers off the latest evolution of the Nevera electric hypercar. The new Nevera R is a track-focused “Hyper Sportscar” that promises insane performance numbers.

But, before we get to that, let’s discuss a bit about the new revised exterior. The Nevera R features a more aggressive look with a completely redesigned nose section, which now has a prominent splitter and a set of intakes. The rear has a more sculpted look and a fixed spoiler with large end plates and a central support pylon. The electric hypercar now rides on new design wheels with 20-inch in the front and 21-inch at the rear.

Rimac claims the large fixed rear wing, combined with an aggressive aero package that includes a new large diffuser, boosts downforce by 15% and aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. With new Michelin Cup 2 tires, total understeer is reduced by 10%, lateral grip is up by 5% and the lap time around the Nardo Handling Track is reduced by 3.8 seconds.

Powering the Nevera R is Rimac’s next-gen 108 kWh battery pack that is said to deliver more power and efficiency, while also being lighter. Thanks 2,107 hp, the Nevera R is capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in 1.74 seconds, while 186 mph comes up in just 8.66 seconds. The car’s rated top speed is 256 mph.
