Track-focused Hennessey Venom F5 to be unveiled soon

Hennessey Performance has shared a teaser image of a new variant of the Venom F5 hypercar.

The Texas-based tuner hasn’t released any details of the car yet. However, looking at the image, it seems to be a high-downforce version of the Venom F5. The car has a fixed spoiler at the back and a roof scoop for the intake.

In 2021, there were reports suggesting that Hennessey was mulling a track-focused hypercar. It would feature a high-downforce kit for improved cornering, however, at the cost of straight-line speed. Unlike the standard car, which has a claimed top speed of over 300 mph, the top speed of the track version will be restricted by the aero package.

The track-focused Venom F5 is likely to use the same 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as the standard car. It develops 1817 hp @ 8000 rpm and 1,193 lb-ft @ 5000 rpm and is hooked-up to a semi-automatic single-clutch transmission.
