Top Gear Lists its Top 5 Supercars

For those who don’t know, yes, Top gear is still alive and yes, they still publish videos on Youtube. In the latest upload, Top Gear lists its top 5 best supercars which have been featured on the recent seasons, i.e. series 24 and 25.

First on the list is the Ferrari 812 Superfast which according to presenter Matt LeBlanc is “about as relaxing as a full body wax”. Remarking that the car is too fast to drive on public roads. He later takes the car to Imola circuit where again, the 812 doesn’t fail to astound the presenter. In the old series, Jeremy Clarkson had made similar remarks about the F12 Berlinetta while drivingaround the UK countryside. Well, the 812 Superfast is equally fast and a lot more thanks to the same 6.5-litre V12 now producing 789 hp instead of 731 hp on the F12.

Second spot goes to the Ford GT. While we might not agree with LeBlanc on his remark that the GT is the best looking car of this century, we can concur about the car’s credentials on the track. At the heart of the 2017 Ford GT is a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 which produces 647 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. That doesn’t sound like much until you learn that the GT only weighs 1380 kg. It also has a host of active aero features, the reason why LeBlanc cant stop praising the GT’s balance on the track.

Watch the video to see which cars get on the 3rd, 4th and 5th spot.
