Top Gear goes gaga over the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut

Jack Rix, the head scribe at Top Gear Magazine, recently got an opportunity to drive a Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut. As you’d guess, he was totally blown away by the $2.8 million Swedish hypercar.

The experience of driving a 1600 hp hypercar is what you’d expect from a lightweight automobile with a Koenigsegg crest on it. It’s brutal! One of its highlights is the 9-speed Lightspeed transmission, which can switch gears faster than you can blink. All the while, the background score is provided by the 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8.

Jack got to drive the pre-production Jesko Absolut, unveiled in April this year. This low-drag version of the Jesko Attack can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. However, the headline figure is its top speed of 310+ mph.

Koenigsegg is yet to prove to the world that this hypercar can actually achieve that top speed. However, given the brand’s track record, we can expect the Jesko Absolut to enter the record books in the near future.
