The first $1.1 million Nissan GT-R50 is ready to be delivered
Nissan is on-track to deliver the first GT-R50 by Italdesign later this year. The first of 50 of these exclusive GT-Rs has been built and ready to meet its owner.
The Nissan GT-R50 is essentially a coach built GT-R styled by Italdesign. The car was presented as a concept to mark the 50th anniversary of the so-called ‘Godzilla’ and the Italian design house.
The GT-R50 stays true to the concept even in production form. The car is longer and wider than the regular model. It also features an active rear spoiler and retains the iconic quad tail lights. The first car is finished in this mint color that really stands out.
Under the re-styled skin is a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine that develops 710 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque. It comes with race-spec turbochargers, a larger intercooler, adjustable dampers, heavy-duty crankshaft, pistons, bearings and connecting rods as well as upgraded intake and exhaust systems.
Two more cars will be delivered to customers later this year, while the remaining cars will be handed over to their owners in 2021.
