Tesla has released a fresh teaser of the Roadster, ahead of the long-awaited electric sports car’s official debut.
The latest image doesn’t reveal much, but that’s precisely the point. It shows a full-width LED light bar glowing across the front of a car otherwise hidden in darkness, offering a small glimpse at what could be the Roadster’s production-ready design.
We won’t have to wait much longer for answers. Tesla is scheduled to reveal the new Roadster on October 1 in Waco, Texas, where details about its specifications, interior and production plans are expected.
The company has also reopened reservations for the much-delayed EV. Securing a place in line requires a substantial $50,000 commitment. That payment is split into an initial $5,000 credit-card charge, followed by a $45,000 wire transfer.
After years of delays and ambitious performance claims, the October reveal could finally show us what Tesla actually intends to put into production.
BYD and Porsche are so far ahead when it comes to EV sports cars I don’t even think the Tesla is relevant anymore. Not to mention Lucid has already achieved the Roadster’s performance in a 4 door🤣🤣🤣
