Singer reimagines the iconic Porsche 935 with 700hp DLS Turbo
California-based Singer Vehicle Design has revealed their latest project – a reimagined Porsche 934/5 called the Singer DLS Turbo.
The DLS Turbo is based on a 964-generation 911 and pays homage to Porsche race cars from the 1970s. It will be offered in two versions – one for the road, with the other optimized for the track.
The Singer DLS Turbo features an extreme widebody design inspired by the 935. It has flared fenders with massive intake ducts on the sides. While the road version has a sleek ducktail spoiler at the back, the track car gets a larger splitter and an adjustable rear wing. Both versions get unique wheels and side-exit exhausts.
The DLS Turbo is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter, air-cooled flat-6 engine that revs to 9000 rpm. Singer claims that this motor develops more than 700 hp. The car comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels.
