SCOOP: Chevrolet’s Mid-Engine Corvette C8 Spotted Again
Prototypes of the upcoming mid-engine Corvette C8 have been out testing for a while now. The last time test mules were spotted it was back in July 2016. Now, here’s another set of spy shots of the much awaited mid-engine Corvette for the first time in 2017.
The Corvette C8 was spotted cold weather testing alongside a Corvette ZR1 prototype. Due to the heavy camouflage, it’s difficult to comment on what’s hiding underneath. However, the low front scuttle and a wide rear deck lid gives it a unique profile that can be easily differentiated from its front-engine cousin.
GM is expected to offer a small-block, 32-valve push rod operated V8 engine on the C8. Rumors are Cadillac’s version of a mid-engine sports car might also be hiding under the wraps.
