Rivian R1T camera captures a McLaren 570S crash in Michigan

Earlier this month, a McLaren 570S wrecked out on the outskirts of Detroit, MI. A Rivian R1T electric truck parked on the side of the road captured the whole incident on its onboard camera.

The accident is said to have taken place on July 7 at the junction of Woodward Ave and 14 Mile Road in Birmingham. The video shows cars stopped at a traffic light when a McLaren 570S appears in the frame. The supercar enters the intersection and at the same time, a Honda SUV can be seen making a turn. The SUV clips the McLaren, sending it into a spin.

Reports suggest that the 570S had just been modified. The owner had installed a stage 3 kit, bumping the overall output of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 to 850 hp. Besides the performance upgrades, the car also appears to be fitted with an aftermarket aero kit and a fancy set of wheels.

That being said, nobody appears to have been seriously injured in the accident.
