Rimac teases something exciting; Nevera Roadster or performance version?

Rimac has released a teaser that asks us to brace ourselves for the ultimate thrill ride. Could it be the Nevera Roadster or a new performance versions? Whatever Mate Rimac has in store for us, it will be unveiled on August 10, 2023.

The Nevera, as you’re aware, is the Croatian EV maker’s first electric hypercar. It made its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The company plans to produce 150 examples, costing €2 million a piece.

The Rimac Nevera is powered by four electric motors that have a combined output of 1914 hp and 1741 lb-ft of torque. In a recent test conducted at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP) facility, the Nevera clocked a 0-60 mph time of 1.74 seconds and went on to set a new 0-249 mph-0 record.

With almost 2000 hp on tap, a performance version of the Nevera sounds absolutely absurd. Instead of adding more power, Rimac could reduce the overall weight of the car to take performance to the next level. There’s also talk of a Nevera Roadster – an open top version that could use the same quad-motor setup as the coupe.
