Rimac Concept_One sets new Electric Car Record at Goodwood
Published on
Remember the electric car that Richard Hammond crashed while filming The Grand Tour? Well, that car just set a new electric car record at the Goodwood hill climb.
The Rimac Concept_One charged up the hill albeit almost silently. It registered a time of 54.89 sec making it the fastest electric car ever at the famous hill climb event.
It was Rimac’s first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car they brought to the event belonged to a customer, so their chief test driver Miroslav Zrncevic had to be cautious.
The Rimac Concept_One has the equivalent of 1224 hp. But, with 60 percent charge in its batteries it was nowhere near its full potential and yet managed to beat the previous best time. Here’s a video of the record-setting run.
