2021 Porsche 911 GT3 Nurburgring Lap Time

Porsche

Ride on-board the Porsche 911 GT3 for a sub-7 Minute Nurburgring lap

Earlier this month, Porsche revealed the all-new 911 GT3. While it may look like similar to the outgoing model, the new GT3 is wider and hides quite a few upgrades under its skin. These updates have made the car a lot faster and to show you just how much, Porsche sent their test driver Lars Kern to the Nurburgring.

Now, Lars is quite familiar with this fabled bit of German tarmac. Thanks to his experience as well as a powerful and well sorted machine, Lars was able to set a blistering lap time. The 911 GT3 lapped the 20.832 km track in 6 min 54.20 seconds.

The 4.0-liter, flat-6 engine at the back of the new 911 GT3 puts out 502 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The car being driven by Lars appears to be fitted with the latter.

Porsche claims that the new GT3 will do 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Keep your right foot planted long enough and the car will hit 197 mph.
