EVO’s Richard Meaden drives Le Mans winning Audi R18 e-tron Quattro
Before I begin telling you about Richard Meaden’s Christmas present, let me take this opportunity to wish all readers a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
Now, Audi has been at the top of their game when it comes to endurance racing. The German automaker has dominated at Le Mans 24 Hours in the recent past. This year, despite being challenged by Porsche and Toyota, Audi managed to secure the top spot in the R18 e-tron Quattro. We motoring writers always dream of driving the finest racing machines a an opportunity like it comes rarely. Richard Meaden from EVO Magazine was lucky to get an invite from Audi to drive the Le Mans winning Audi R18 e-tron Quattro at Misano, Italy. A perfect gift from Santa Clause, then.
I have been able to sample a few exciting machines on a race track before and let me tell you, the small stint that you get is just not enough to get comfortable with all the controls, grip levels and power. Forget doing a quick lap in a race car like this. It is an overwhelming experience that gets over in just a few minutes and leaves you with a short but a memorable experience.
