Rental Lamborghini Huracan STO wrecked in Las Vegas; first of its kind!
A Lamborghini Huracan STO owned by the Las Vegas-based Royalty Exotics rental car company has crashed. It is said to be the world’s first Huracan STO to bite the dust.
The STO is the most track-focused version of the Huracan and is rear-wheel-drive only. It could be one of the reasons why the driver lost control and wrecked the car. Prima facie, it seems like the driver was trying to turn into a corner and lost it under acceleration. The car may have spun off into the curb, which explains the rear suspension damage.
The Huracan STO is powered by a 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V10 engine that delivers 640 hp and 417 lb-ft @ 5,600 rpm. This rear-wheel-drive Huracan will do 0-62 mph in 3.0 seconds and 0-124 mph in 9 seconds flat.
This accident is yet another example of why one should never take chances with supercars, especially if you aren’t used to such levels of performance.
