Rare McLaren Edition Mercedes SLR up for sale for €2.6 million!

The Mercedes SLR is one of our favorite supercars. It’s quite popular among supercar collectors as well. Manny Khoshbin has a garage full of them. It’s no surprise that their prices have been skyrocketing in recent times.

So, when a rare McLaren Edition SLR comes up for sale, you’d expect it to cost a bomb. Incidentally, Agent4Stars has one for sale and it’s listed for an eye-watering price of €2.6 million!

The Mercedes SLR McLaren Edition was the last special edition of the SLR before it went out of production. Only 25 cars were built. The car gets a unique body kit with different bumpers, bonnet, and diffuser. It also gets a titanium exhaust and new wheels. The changes have resulted in a weight saving of 50 kg, while downforce has gone up by 20%.

Powering the McLaren Edition is a 5.5-liter, supercharged V8 that puts out 641 hp and 605 lb-ft of torque. It helps the SLR reach 60 mph from a standstill in 3.6 seconds. Given an open stretch of tarmac, it will do 209 mph.
