Rare Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta wrecked in Czechia
A rare Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta has crashed in the Czech Republic. Images of the wrecked supercar were shared by @supercar.fails, however, the exact date of the accident is not known.
Looking at these images, it appears that the driver may have lost control and hit a roadside pole. The damage seems cosmetic. Apart from minor scruffs on the driver side, the front fender and bumper will need to replaced. There are a few chips on the 5-spoke rims as well.
Moreover, the force of the impact was enough to set off both the airbags, which would replacing. Being one of just 499 cars, the repair bill for this Speciale Aperta will be quite expensive.
The 458 Special Aperta is one of the most sought after models. A low mileage example costs about $1 million dollars today. At its heart is a 4.5-liter V8 with 597 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. It’s the last naturally-aspirated V8 Ferrari, which makes it so special.
