Purple Lamborghini Centenario woos Dutch supercar spotters
The purple Lamborghini Centenario certainly had all the attention at this car meet held somewhere in the Netherlands.
As you may have guessed, this isn’t the original color of this Centenario. It left the factory in a rather unique spec of yellow and black. Yes, it was an unconventional spec and raised quite a few eyebrows. Here is a video of the car from 3 years ago, back when it was in its original spec.
The new matte purple wrap does look sweet on the Centenario. The bright yellow on the vertical strakes at the rear have also been wrapped in a more discreet shade of gold. The same has been replicated on the bodywork.
The Centenario was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It was built to celebrate 100th birth anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini. The car is based on the Aventador but only 40 units were produced. The 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine produces 770 hp, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 sec. It has top speed of 217 mph.
