Pre-series production Koenigsegg Jesko revealed
We got our first look at the Koenigsegg Jesko at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Since then, the Agera replacement has gone through an arduous development phase. Over the last couple of years, engineers have been hard at work on 5 prototypes.
Today, the Jesko project moved into its next phase as the first pre-series production car took the road.
The first and possibly only pre-series production Jesko is painted in Tang Orange Pearl with silver and carbon fibre accents. The colour scheme is a homage to the Koenigsegg CCR.
Inside, this hypercar is loaded with tech. It comes with a racing-inspired SmartCluster instrument screen behind the steering wheel and an updated SmartCenter touchscreen infotainment system.
The Jesko is powered by a 5.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that belts out 1280 hp on regular fuel and 1600 hp on E85. Peak torque is meaty 1106 lb-ft. The engine is bolted to a Light Speed Transmission (LST), which is claimed to be quicker than a dual-clutch transmission.
Koenigsegg is building 125 units of Jesko. While this car is designed to carve through corners, its twin, the Jesko Absolut is built for outright speed.
