Porsche Taycan Turbo GT leaked ahead of official debut!
Porsche’s most powerful production car is an electric vehicle. More specifically, it’s the all-new Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, and its details have just leaked online.
The Taycan Turbo GT is the most potent version of the four-door EV. It is available in standard and Weissach trims. It is powered by a new rear-mounted electric motor that runs on 900 amps. The result is more power and torque.
The Taycan Turbo GT packs 789 hp in standard guise. Engage Launch Control and the electric motors deploy 1033 hp. In overboost mode, the motors generate a peak output of 1108 hp for 2 seconds.
It is said that the Taycan Turbo GT can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.3 seconds, which drops to 2.2 seconds with the Weissach package. 0-124 mph comes up in 6.4 seconds, and the top speed of pegged at 190 mph.
The Turbo GT is said to lap the Nurburgring in 7 min 7 seconds and Laguna Seca in 1 min 27 seconds. Reports suggest the car could get a 98 kWh battery pack, offering a maximum range of around 345 miles.
Porsche is said to have used a lot of carbon fibre in the construction of the Taycan Turbo GT. As a result, it weighs 75 kg less than the Turbo S. It also comes with an upgraded aero package, featuring a fixed rear spoiler that generates 220 kg of downforce.
