The Mission R uses two electric motors – one on each axle. Together, they produce 1088 hp in Qualifying Mode and 680 hp in Race Mode. Porsche claims the car can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph. It uses a 900 V battery that can be charged from 5-80% in 15 minutes.
The Mission R uses a lot of carbon fibre in its construction. It even has a new carbon fibre roll cage dubbed as the ‘Exoskeleton’. The doors, front and rear fenders, side panels, etc. are also made from natural fibre reinforced plastic to save weight.
The car is equipped with Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) and a drag reduction system. It rides on 18-inch magnesium wheels that have carbon aeroblades and are shod with 30/68 front and 31/71 rear Michelin tires.
