Porsche GT3 Tire Blowout at 150 MPH

Porsche GT3 tire blowout at 150 mph

If you are travelling at speeds in excess of 100 mph, the last thing you want is a tire blowout. This Porsche GT3 driver had to face a similar situation when his tire blew up during a track day at Daytona International Speedway.

For the first five minutes you are on-board a 996 Porsche 911 GT3 which is following a 991 Carrera S  around the Daytona GP circuit. It is clear that the latest 991 Gen Porsche has the upper hand as the GT3 tries to keep up with its modern counterpart.

Then all of a sudden, about 5 minutes into the video the GT3 driver loses control and crashes hard into the wall. It is only upon investigating the slow motion footage from a Mustang that you notice the rear right hand side tire blow up as the two Porsche make their way through traffic at speeds reaching 150 mph.
