Porsche Cayman GT4 Named EVO Car of the Year 2015: Video

Porsche Cayman GT4

Porsche Cayman GT4 is EVO Car of the Year 2015. Finding the best driver’s car from a long list of high performance road cars was never an easy task. So, when the team at EVO magazine got together for one last shootout of the most exciting cars of 2015, it was difficult to find a winner.

The Cayman GT4 is built by the same team who build the 911 GT3 RS. In the end, the team came to a unanimous conclusion that the pure driving pleasure offered by the Cayman GT4 is what the driving enthusiast looks for in a sports car. Porsche has done a great job of getting all the relevant bits right that make a great sports car.

Other cars that featured in this year’s ‘Car of the Year’ included the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which in itself is great driver’s car. Ferrari and McLaren went head to head with the 488 GTB and 675LT respectively. Of course, such a coveted shootout would have been incomplete without the presence of the new Lamborghini Aventador SV.

At the opposite end of the price range were some plucky hot hatchbacks that made headlines this year.In the end the Seat Leon Cupra Sub8 proved to be unbeatable. A surprise addition this year was the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 which turned out to be a hoot to drive and again Lotus proved that they had the best chassis in the form of the Evora 400.
