Pagani Utopia Roadster unveiled ahead of Monterey Car Week

In 2022, Horacio Pagani revealed his idea of the perfect hypercar, and he aptly named it ‘Utopia‘. The boutique supercar brand from Italy has now taken what is already “flawless” and made it even better. Welcome to the Pagani Utopia Roadster.

The open-top version of the Utopia will make its first public appearance at the Monterey Car Week in August.

Like the coupe, the Utopia Roadster is based on a Carbo-Titanium chassis. It weighs just 2,822 lbs, which is quite remarkable. According to Pagani, the monocoque provides optimal rigidity without requiring heavy reinforcements, when the roof is removed.

Powering the Utopia Roadster is the same 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine as the coupe. Developed by Mercedes-AMG, this engine produces 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 2800-5900 rpm. It is paired with either a 7-speed automated manual or a proper stick shift with three pedals.

The car seen in these images is equipped with the optional Sport Pack, which adds carbon-backed seats that are 20% lighter, a titanium exhaust system and wheels with carbon Aeroblade deflectors, among others.

Pagani will produce 130 examples of the Utopia Roadster, with a starting price of €3.1 million before taxes.
