A few days back Pagani teased the Huayra R on its social media handles. The automaker has now released a short video that talks about its genesis.
The Huayra R is the replacement for the fabled Zonda R – the most outrageous version of the Zonda road car. We can expect the new model’s styling to be heavily inspired by the latter. It will certainly be a notch above the Huayra BC and the Imola. Expect to see the most ginormous rear wing and bodywork sculpted for optimal downforce.
Interestingly, the Huayra R will get an all-new naturally aspirated V12 engine, unlike the standard Huayra which has a twin-turbo motor. We’ve been told that it’s a brand new engine built by AMG and has been developed in collaboration with HWA – these are same folks who developed the Apollo IE’s V12 unit. The engine revs to over 9500 rpm and puts out over 900 hp!
