Pagani Huayra R almost crashes at Laguna Seca
Earlier this month, we witnessed the $17 million Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta crash. However, another incident involving an expensive Pagani went unnoticed in August.
If you recall, Pagani held a track day at the Laguna Seca racetrack in California at the end of August. The pit lane was buzzing with the sound of V12s and among the exotic machinery was a blue Pagani Huayra R.
Videos shared on the internet show this particular car spinning out between turns 3 and 4. The driver loses the rear end of the car while exiting turn 3, sending it into a 180-degree spin. Fortunately, he keeps the car on the grey bit and avoids the barriers, which, otherwise, could’ve cost him dearly.
A Zonda R Evolution was also on track at the time. It almost crashes into the spinning Huayra. Luckily, the driver of the Zonda was able to avoid contact by swerving off-track.
As you can see from the video, it was a close call for the Huayra as well as the Zonda.
