Pagani Huayra Epitome is the first Huayra with a manual gearbox
Pagani has revealed a new custom one-off supercar based on the Huayra called the Huayra Epitome. A creation of the Grandi Complicazioni division, it is the first Huayra to feature a manual transmission.
According to Pagani, the Huayra Epitome represents the pinnacle of technology currently available in Pagani road cars. It is powered by an AMG-built 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 811 lb-ft. The engine is mated to an Xtrac 7-speed manual transmission.
Pagani claims that the electronically controlled differential and a racing-style tri-pod driveshaft along with the manual gearbox provide a pure mechanical driving experience.
The Huayra Epitome is fitted with a new active suspension system that comes with a “super soft” mode for extra comfort on rough roads. The suspension automatically switches to the normal setting above 93 mph.
The Epitome features a lightweight 6-way titanium exhaust system and makes use of the blown diffuser concept for generating additional downforce.
The exterior design of the one-off Huayra Epitome is inspired by the Imola Coupe owned by the client. It has unique front and rear bumpers, with exclusive light clusters, a different hood and new wheel arch air extractor vents. The integrated rear spoiler on this car looks sleeker than that of the Huayra BC.
As per the company, the Epitome is the “first Huayra equipped with a manual transmission”, which leads us to suspect that there could be similar custom Huayras in the pipeline.
