Onboard Cam: Radim Passer’s Bugatti Chiron top speed run
Back in November last year, Radim Passer took his Bugatti Chiron to Wittenburg, Germany. His aim was to drive the car on the derestricted section of the Autobahn and try to reach its top speed. If you’ve been following The Supercar Blog, you may have seen the video we had shared last month. Now, Radim has shared the onboard footage of the top speed run.
Even the idea of driving a car on a public road at speeds exceeding 400 km/h seems far fetched. This footage is proof that you’ve got to have a hefty pair of family jewels to even attempt to get anywhere close to the Chiron’s top speed on a public road. Over 400 km/h, the scenery is just a blur. Just imagine being in your econobox in the slow lane as a Chiron blitzes past you.
Having said that, Radim didn’t just turn up in Wittenburg that day for the top speed run. As you would’ve guessed, a lot of preparation went into it. The car was first sent to Bugatti for a thorough check-up, and only after receiving the go-ahead from Molsheim did Radim take to the road.
