No, Cristiano Ronaldo does not Own the $19 million Bugatti La Voiture Noire
Since yesterday, there have be reports in the media suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo has bought the $19 million Bugatti La Voiture Noire. Well, we can confirm that these reports are completely false.
Our sources close to Bugatti have told us that these claims are totally baseless and untrue. The footballer does not own the one-off Bugatti that took the 2019 Geneva Motor Show by storm a few months back. Moreover, we had heard that Dr. Ferdinand Piëch could be the owner of this exclusive machine. However, this too hasn’t been confirmed. In fact, Bugatti is unlikely to reveal the owner of the La Voiture Noire. All we know is that it has been sold to a “Bugatti enthusiast”.
We have been on top of this story from day one. In February, we had reported that Bugatti was planning to unveil a new one-off at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The car was indeed revealed a month later.
Inspired by the Type 57SC Atlantic, the La Voiture Noire is based on the Chiron. It features a completely redesigned bodywork – an exterior that’s worthy of the $19 million price tag. Powering the La Voiture Noire is the same 8.0-liter W16 engine from the Chiron that produces 1,500 hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque.
